Southern Water will introduce a restriction on hosepipes in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight starting July 10. Similar rules began in Kent recently. The company cites hot weather and scant precipitation as the main reason.
The ban covers private watering, garden hoses, and cleaning vehicles. If dry conditions persist, officials may extend the rules. Southern England already has additional water-saving steps in certain areas.
