Saskatoon’s Nutana Legion will host its first Canada Day fireworks show. The display will launch from the new venue, on the west side of the South Saskatchewan River, after the city cancelled the usual riverbank launch. The change follows the closure of the TD Bridge for renovations.
The fireworks will be set off after sunset. The move lets the city maintain the celebration on schedule while guaranteeing safety. Residents can gather in the park to view the display.
