Daniel Tupou has called time on his NRL career just days after the Sydney Roosters lifted the premiership trophy. The winger leaves the sport as a four-time premiership winner, all earned with the Roosters, having never worn a different club's jersey.
The Roosters described themselves as "lost for words" at his departure. Tupou's whole playing life was spent in red, white and blue, leaving him regarded as one of the most loyal one-club players in the competition's modern era.
