The New Jersey Devils have submitted a one-year offer sheet worth $4.775 million to Barrett Hayton, a centre with the Utah Mammoth. The bid comes as Hayton is a restricted free agent under the Mammoth’s control.
Under NHL rules, Utah has seven days to match the offer. If the franchise matches, Hayton remains in Utah under the identical conditions. If it declines , the Devils acquire his rights and he will move to the New Jersey roster for the next season.
