The president ousted Roger Rogoff as U.S. Attorney for Western Washington on July 16, 2026. Rogoff was sworn in that morning. Trump dismissed him less than one hour later. Federal judges in Seattle selected Rogoff without the normal White House review. The administration then voided his appointment immediately following the ceremony finished.
