Governor Gavin Newsom signed bills to limit Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE activities in the state. The laws include bans on police using electrically conductive gloves and protections for immigrant communities. These measures follow a incident where a baby girl was found dead in a dumpster, leading to the arrest of her mother. The new legislation aim to respond to issues related to ICE activities and support immigrant communities.
