Latest News About Supermarkets Recall Apples, Kiwis Over Salmonella

Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury's announced an urgent recall of pre‑packaged apple and kiwi packs on Wednesday. The agencies say salmonella contamination cannot be ruled out.

A “do not eat” warning was posted for that fruit sold in that stores. Prepworld also pulled its own fruit items following a possible salmonella link emerged. Customers are asked to stop eating the products and return them for a refund. The recall covers all fresh apple and kiwi packages stocked in the four chains. Health authorities continue to investigate the source of the suspected bacteria.
