The Scottish Government has committed a £14m funding boost to support the renovation of Glasgow's People's Palace and Winter Gardens. Total budget requirements for the museum work now pass £50m. The historic site set to re-open the Glasgow museum and gardens has remained closed for a long time.
BBC and The Herald indicated the venue is expected to stay closed until 2029.
Elsewhere, infamous Glasgow pub the Louden has closed its doors. The Glasgow Bell reported on how one of Glasgow's most prominent pubs closed for good.
