An extreme heat watch has been issued for the Orange County and Santa Ana Mountains area. The watch extends from Friday to Wednesday. The watch also covers southern regions of California. Marina Jurica's NEXT Weather forecast and Pain In The Pass noted a brief cooling period at first, followed by a subsequent rise in temperatures. Additionally, News 9 highlighted waves of rain and storms approaching, before a nice weekend. The Sacramento Bee reported the watch is extended to southern California.
