Sacramento Kings guard Darius Acuff Jr. finished with 25 points and eight assists in a preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers, drawing attention as one of the stronger performers in the Kings' early exhibition slate.

In a later preseason game against the Golden State Warriors, Sacramento mounted a late run but fell just short. The loss was overshadowed by a serious concern: center Maxime Raynaud left the game in a wheelchair with an apparent knee injury, putting a damper on the team's preseason outlook.
