All Blacks halfback Cam Roigard says the loss to South Africa is still fresh and New Zealand must carry lessons from the setback into the Bledisloe Cup opener against Australia at Eden Park.

Roigard also spoke of a "weird" feeling heading into the test, offering little further detail.

Anton Segner said the squad has moved its focus to the Wallabies match and is looking ahead.

The Bledisloe Cup opener at Eden Park is the earliest opportunity for the All Blacks to bounce back from the Springboks setback.
