The Buffalo Sabres said they have re-signed forward Beck Malenstyn to a six-year $18 million $18 million contract, locking him up until the 2032-33 season. He remains with the club as planned.
Last season, Malenstyn tallied 22 points in 58 games, earning notice for his quick transitions and strong defensive play. GM Keith Helgain said the club wants him as part of its core long-term group. The new pact also gives Buffalo flexibility while banking on a home-grown talent to drive the rebuild.
