ASOS app users in Australia and elsewhere received a threatening push notification on 6 October 2026, in what is being treated as a hack of the online fashion retailer. The message threatened customers with a data leak and claimed personal data would be released.

Users responded with concern on social media, with outlets including News.com.au, Nine.com.au, the BBC, and the ABC reporting growing anxiety among customers. ASOS has still not disclosed the extent of the breach or how many customers are caught up in the incident.
