A New Jersey court fugitive pursued in one of the US’s most drawn-out America’s Most Wanted cases has been taken into custody.
Wayne (Huang) Norton, 56, fled during trial in 2005 after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman.
He spent 20 years on the run, often traversing US coastal regions, and hid partly on his sailboat off Monmouth County.
Federal and local police tracked him using vessel logs and reports from mariners.
He was taken into custody on Friday, according to several sources, after officials spotted his boat 20 miles offshore.
